Samuel Gerald Sarka
Age 74 of Flushing passed away on May 28, 2022 at his home.
Private services will be held through McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop.
Samuel was born on July 2, 1947 to Sam and Julia (Katenin) Sarka in Flint. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. Sam was a teacher at Saginaw Junior High School for 25 years.
During his life, Sam enjoyed gardening and treasured his plants. He also collected antiques.
Sam is survived by his sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Hart and Joanne Smith; his brother, Gerald (Pauline) Sarka; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and one niece.
