HOFBAUER, Trudy - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, passed away February 11, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, February 18, 2023 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka Celebrant. Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10AM until the time of Mass Saturday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to National Breast Cancer Foundation. Trudy was born February 2, 1934 in Lanskroun, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Gustav and Theresia (Kreutzinger) Domesle. Their family moved to Germany when she was 11 years old. As a young lady she worked in a jewelry factory in Bavaria, Germany. Trudy emigrated to the United States in 1956. She enjoyed hiking, dancing, knitting and loved to play Bingo with the union group. Trudy was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Andrew following his retirement. She is survived by her children, Anita (Ray) Rustem, Richard (Kathy) Hofbauer and Christine (Jochen) Brand; grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Novosel, Danielle Rustem, Aaron Rustem, Samantha Sorkin and Benjamin Hofbauer; sister, Irma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew; son, Harry; brother, Gustav. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
