HANDLEY, Billie “Bill” - Of Grand Blanc, age 93, died Sunday, December 13, 2020.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Ron Emmerling officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to Meals on Wheels.
Visitation 11am-1pm Friday at the funeral home.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Billie was born in on July 17, 1927, the son of the late Ervin and Myrl Handley.
On November 5, 1949, he married Shirley Haynes and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2011. Billie served in The United States Army and Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed with General Motors Fisher Coldwater for 36 years, retiring in 1991. He was known as “Mr. Fix It” in the neighborhood, repairing bicycles and power wheels.
Surviving are daughter, Regena (Donald) Bargo;
granddaughter, Donna Bargo;
great-grandchildren, Evan and Sophie Wallrath;
brother, Charles H. Handley;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Handley and numerous brothers and sisters.
