VanAELST, John Dale - Age 62, of Flint, died Friday, May 21, 2021. Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and may be live streamed from John's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Elder Dawn Bennett officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to John's family to help with his funeral expenses.
John was born November 13, 1958 in Flint, the son of Norman L. and Opal M. (Vincent) VanAelst. He was a graduate of Clare High School. He married Michele Brown and she preceded him in death in 2016. He was a self Employed Handyman. He used to raise Great Danes. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are: his father, Norman; siblings, Michael (Tania) VanAelst of Wyoming, William (Deb) VanAelst of Lake George, Cindy Stewart of Ohio, and Tammy Cook of Bridgeport; father-in-law, Kenneth (Marilyn) Brown of Swartz Creek; special friend, Kellie Monreal of Flint, and several nieces and nephews.
