Ross O. Fitzner, age 92, of Burton, MI, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. Ross was born on June 17, 1928 in Lakeview, MI to Joseph and Celia (Wanink) Fitzner. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War in the 45th infantry division. On February 7, 1953, he married Beverly (Lakies) and she survives. Also surviving are daughter Gail Frinkle (Marv) of Ishpeming, MI, son Craig (Wendy) of DeWitt, MI, grandsons Karl (Bobbi), Andrew (MiKyung), Colin and Ian and granddaughter Leigh Ann, three great grandchildren, and sister Helena Kaczynski of Tucson, AZ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Arthur and Donald. Ross enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He worked as an electrician at Lakies Electric in Flint. He and Beverly spent most of their lives in Davison, Michigan. Ross was a member of the Davison VFW Post 4087. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula. Given the current Covid pandemic there will not be a memorial service. Those wishing to make donations in Ross' memory may do so in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. |
