SAVAGE, Sally – Of Grand Blanc, age 74, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her Grand Blanc home with family by her side.
Sally was born in Hampton, Virginia on August 9, 1947, the daughter of Riddick and Alma (Congleton) Fanny.
Sally studied Theology at William Tyndale College and became an ordained minister through Mark Barclay Ministries. She later became the Founder and Executive Director of Harvest House Shelter in Flint, Michigan, serving women and children in crisis.
Sally was the mother of three daughters, Jodi, Debbi, and Nancy.
Sally’s first love and best friend was Jesus and she studied his word continuously. She was also a longtime member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
Her loving daughters wish to express their love and gratitude for all of the family traditions she instilled in each of them. She will be dearly remembered for the “Happy Birthday Jesus” Christmas parties celebrated with her grandchildren, that they promise to carry on.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she loved nothing more than spending time with them, talking about their day to day lives, and offering love and advice.
Her love for Jesus was known by all and she lived her faith out-loud.
Sally is survived by her daughters, Jodi (Jeff) Wisenbaugh, Debbi (Jim) Joseph, and Nancy (Vivek) Sankaran;
her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kelly) Wisenbaugh, Cassie (Alex) Hedger, James (Sarah) Joseph, Hannah Joseph-Combs (David Combs), Grace Joseph (fiance’ Michael Barish), and Sylvia Sankaran (fiance’ Adam Herrmann);
great-grandchildren, Harper, James, David, and Elias.
She was loved; she will be missed, and together we celebrate her homegoing.
In the words of her Lord and Savior in Matthew 25:23, “Well done thy good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
