MUNSELL, David - of Burt, age 72, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Burial at Cook Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service.
David was born January 28, 1952, in Flint, to the late Everett and Margaret (Spears) Munsell. He attended Hamady High School where he received his high school diploma with the class of 1970, and received his associate degree in technical engineer from Baker College. On February 25, 1978, David married his loving wife, Kandy Rushton, in Burt, and together they shared almost 46 years of marriage. He attended the Clio Community of Christ Church and worked at WEYI TV 25 where he later retired. David was a member of the Frankenmuth Aeromodelers Club where he shared his love of model airplanes with fellow club members, and he was in a bowling league in Clio. He enjoyed listening to music and was a talented guitar and saxophone player. David was a quiet man who loved spending quality time with his family - he especially loved flying model airplanes with his grandson and loved watching his granddaughter run track in school and college. Above all, David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend who will be missed.
David is forever remembered by his wife, Kandy Munsell; Daughter, Jenell (Adam) Gaul; Proud Papa of: Jenna and Alex Gaul; Brothers: Harlo (Karen) and Robert (Shirley) Munsell; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and beloved friends. David was preceded in death by his son, David Munsell II; Parents, Everett and Margaret; Sister, Thelma (Truman) Persall. |
