Mr. Andreas Lemark Brooks, Sr. was born January 27,1979 in Flint, Michigan the son of Aldrich and Evelyn Louise Brooks-Cureton. He obtained his GED and welding certification as well as his certification in heating/cooling. Andreas enjoyed working on cars, cooking and talking junk.
Making music meant everything to him. His children, family and anyone that came in touch with him loved Mark, A.K.A “Workhorse”. His nickname was given to him was also “Black Santa” because of the way he loved to give.
He leaves to cherish his memory:6 daughters, Evelyn, MiAngel and Aubri Brooks, Bobreannia Holloway, Tyanna Martin and A’laiyah David, 1 son, Andreas Brooks, Jr. all of Flint, Michigan. 6 grandchildren.
9 sisters, Armetris (John) Skinner, Evett Johnson all of Flint, Michigan, Chanuwan Brooks of Winston-Salem, N. Carolina, Airvinia Brooks of Phoenix, Arizona, Marilyn (Jason) Cureton-Patrick, Mariah (Terrell) Cureton-Dillard, Doris, Ellene and Diane Cureton all of Flint, Michigan.
7 brothers, Aldric Brooks of Chandler, Az., Gregory Taylor of Stateville, N. Carolina, Aldrich, Sammeul and Kenneth Cureton, G’Vonta Cureton and Fred Thomas all of Flint, Michigan.
33 nieces, 35 nephews, aunt, Ilene Tate-Hill of Flint, Michigan, uncle, James Taylor of Little Rock, Arkansas. A host of cousins other relatives and friends including the mothers of his children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldrich and Evelyn Brooks-Cureton, 2 brothers, Demetrius Taylor and Abraham Cureton 6 nephews, RoyQuan Taylor-Skinner, Mo’Ri Cureton, Jake Brooks, Markus Mosley, Sammuel Cureton and Tony Cureton, niece Queyamonique Taylor and friend of the family, Louise Thomas.
The family would like to express special thanks to: Pastor Corey Broxton, The Etom Family and to all the family/friends that showed up and showed out for support.
