GLASCO, Frances Iowa - Of Birch Run, age 72, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at her residence following a long illness of cancer.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, February 6, 2014
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Dale Pattee officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Cash contributions can be made in the name of Sydney and Evan Huchla, granddaughter and grandson of Frances and will be set into a college fund for them in her honor. Please send contributions to 9978 Elms Road, Birch Run, MI 48415.
Family will receive friends 2-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Frances was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on February 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Okey and Bessie Mullins. Mrs. Glasco attended Beulah Land Christian Center and has dedicated her entire life serving God. As a young girl she traveled with her younger brother, Donald Mullins, preaching and singing and holding revivals all across the nation. Frances’ singing stirred the hearts of all who heard her and many souls were saved during her singing. She married Leslie Glasco III on March 22, 1969.
Surviving are husband, Leslie Glasco, III of Birch Run;
sons, Leslie Glasco IV and wife Pam of Birch Run, Ward Slates and wife, Sue of Bangor, MI;
daughter, Christal Huchla and husband, Erik of Birch Run;
brothers, Thomas Mullins and wife, Nancy of Beckley, WV, Howard Mullins and wife May of Keyrock, WV, Reverend Donald Mullins and wife Wilma of Lebanon, VA, Richard Mullins and wife Bonnie of Ravencliff, WV, and Danny Mullins of Keyrock, WV;
grandchildren, Sydney Huchla, Evan Huchla, Ward Slates Jr., Nick Slates and Stephanie Slates;
great-grandchildren, Aria Slates and Kamden Finger;
several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Mullins, an infant brother and sisters Agnes, Margaret and Pauline.
