DAY, Florence M. – of Burton, age 87, passed away January 30, 2023, at her residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Monday, February 6, 2023, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 5496 Lippincott Blvd., Burton, MI 48519; Pastor John Meyer officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until the service on Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Florence was born in Pinconning, MI on April 11, 1935, daughter of the late Otto and Sophia (Schwab) Pieper. She married Charles Day and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2019. She enjoyed making pies for her family and being surrounded by her grandchildren.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Tim) Gainey and Deborah Bostwick; son, Donald Day; special daughter, Susan Pollard; grandchildren, David (Breanna) Marshall, Jennifer (Matt) McArthur, Maria (Tommy) Allen, Emily (Chad) Phillips, Katie Bostwick, Brandon Bostwick, Jason (Lori) Gainey and Jeremy (Annie) Gainey; great-grandchildren; Kaden, Ronin, Leila, Tre’stan, Makayla, Kara, Mia, Claire, Charlie Rose, Alexis, Chloe, Nora, Leah and Ella; in-laws, Jean Behling, Ila Williams, Leroy (Sandy) Day, Calvin Day and Joan Pieper; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron; siblings, Ruth Bock, Esther Hartman, Clare Pieper, Otto Pieper and Walter Pieper; in-laws, Lillian (Bob) Moore, Mike Day, Leroy Williams, Rex Behling, Janet Day and Lyle (Judy) Day.
