Memorial Contributions can be made in Ethel’s honor to Frenius Renal Care, Mt. Morris, Hurley Medical Center or Big Brothers & Big Sisters.
Ethel was born on October 18, 1936 in Oscoda, Michigan to Lawrence and Andrea McDonald. Ethel married Robert “Bob” A. Boulis on January 27, 1953. Ethel was a homemaker for much of her life and had an enormous passion for her family and friends. In 1962, Bob and Ethel joined the Flint Motorcycle Club where they served for over four decades. They spent
many of those years helping non-profit organizations like Big Brothers & Big Sisters using their love for motorcycle racing as a source to raise much needed funds to help the youth of their community. Ethel was a foster mother for over 20 years and fostered dozens of children who she thought of as her own. Ethel loved motorcycles and flat track racing where she gained many lifelong friends that were near and dear to her heart. Ethel was a lover of pets, sewing, reading and collections – Disney, Betty Boop, Barbies, pigs and ceramics. Above everything Ethel loved her 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Ethel will be missed by all, and her memories will be cherished forever.
Left to cherish her memories is her sister, Judy; her six children, Merle Tenbusch, Rick (Lee Ann) Boulis, Cheryl (Robert) Miller, Christy Boulis, Robert (Lisa) Boulis, Keith (Jennifer) Boulis; many adored grandchildren, Tonya (Scott), Eric (Sarah), Rick (April), Kevin, Brian, Michael (Shonna), Tamar (Scott), Jason, Lexi, Lucas, Ian, Danielle (Andrew), Smokin’ Joe, Robert (Heather), Spiderman Brett (Britney); great grandchildren, Zachary, Avery, Declan, Marayna, Miley, Aubrey, Aiden, Riley, Reagan, Isabella, Valentino, Violet, Luke, Zack, Addalynn, Carson; and her great-great grandson, Kingston. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ron Darnell as he helped to care for her in recent years. After a brief period of separation, Ethel is happily reunited with her husband, Bob; brother, Larry McDonald; son-in-law, Edward Tenbusch; and a great granddaughter.
