Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12pm Monday, August 15, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday, August 14, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Louise was born in Flint, Michigan on November 21, 1947, the daughter of the late Sam and Catherine Elizabeth (Walsh) Iaquinto. She was one of three with two brothers, Sam and John. Louise met Lloyd while cheering during football games at Sacred Heart. They wed September 20, 1969, spending the entirety of their lives together. She worked as an Emergency Room Tech and in the NICU at McLaren Hospital from 1971-2003, then retiring to be a Nona. Nona was an active member of the church, keeping her faith close while helping others in need. She loved to spoil her grandkids, supporting each of them in their ambitions. Nona and Papa’s house was the preferred place to spend time, where Nona would never let anyone go hungry. Desserts were one of her specialties and no time was too early, of course only after her cherished morning coffees. When she wasn’t caring for others, which was a rarity, she enjoyed the sunshine most of all, keeping her tan year-round. She was always laughing, dancing, or telling jokes just to make you smile. Nona was selfless and kind, placing everyone before herself.
She is survived by her son Ryan (Helen), daughter Katie (Andrew) Sobol, and six grandchildren; Kelsey, Kayla, Kylie, Marisa, Cooper and Alexis and her special friend Bev Hyde.
Thank you to Rhonda and staff at Swank Assisted Living and Sara from McLaren Hospice for taking such good care of Louise.
The family is asking for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association for research in lieu of flowers.
