TRAVERSE CITY – Nancy Lou Kiessel, 64, of Traverse City passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 at Elmwood Adult Foster Care Home.
Nancy was born March 13, 1946 in Suttons Bay the daughter of Andrew and Martha (Swanson) Kiessel.
She enjoyed the simple things in life and was always happy. From her dad, Nancy inherited a great sense of humor and in her heart she had an unending love of cats and babies.
Nancy is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Ralph) Kahrs of Traverse City, Marcella (Dale) Morrison of McMillan; two brothers, Ivan (Darlene) Kiessel of St. Joseph and David (Sharon) Kiessel of Suttons Bay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice Busby.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation a half hour prior to the service at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. Burial will follow in East Leland Cemetery. The Rev. Lawrence Matro will officiate.
