Beverly was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 21, 1936, the daughter of Alexander and Mary (Pewinski) Dipzinski. She was a proud member of the first graduating class of St. Agnes High School, Class of 1954. On April 28, 1956, she married Jack McMonagle at St. Agnes Catholic Church, and they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on September 21, 2011.
A woman of deep faith, Beverly was a devoted member of St. Robert Catholic Church, where she found fellowship through the Widow-to-Widow group and shared her love of music as an active member of the St. Robert Choir. Her passion for singing led her to unforgettable experiences — performing in Rome and at Carnegie Hall.
Music and dance filled Beverly’s life with joy. She loved line dancing at the Flushing Senior Center, was a regular at Flushing’s Concerts in the Park, and could often be found dancing at the Krapo Center in Mt. Morris, always smiling and dancing like no one was watching.
Beverly was also a talented artist, having studied painting and drawing under Artist Betty Rae, and even completed a commissioned piece of art. She was a dedicated walker and race-walker, founding the Urban Walker’s Group and proudly participating in the Crim and many other local races. Even in later years, she could be seen walking her neighborhood streets with her four-wheel walker — a true symbol of her determination and spirit.
She also loved golfing and bowling, achieving several 300 games, and was an avid reader, belonging to multiple book clubs. Beverly enjoyed playing Euchre at the American Legion and volunteering as an usher at the Whiting Auditorium, always finding ways to stay active and connected with her community.
Beverly is survived by her loving children, Craig (Laurie) McMonagle, Leigh (Jerry) Crimi, and Keith McMonagle; cherished grandchildren Rachael, Annie, and Molly; step-grandchildren Joshua, Heather (Nik), Tiffany (Jimmy), Taylor, Tyler, Travis, and Kacee; great-grandchildren Drayden, Ezra, Cash, Memphis, Logan, Caroline, Braxton, Ashton, Benjamin, and Abel; and her brother Marvin Dipzinski.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; great-grandson Jakob; and brothers Jerry, Gary, and Norman Dipzinski.
Beverly will be remembered for her radiant smile, her boundless energy, her faith, and the joy she brought to every room she entered. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and song — and her spirit will continue to dance in the hearts of all who knew her.
