MORSE, Dorothy M. – of Birch Run, formerly, of West Branch, Michigan, age 81, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 with family by her side. Graveside services will be held 11AM Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Tom Teal officiating.
Dorothy was born April 22, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Henry and Arvilla (Pile) Thompson. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School. Dorothy married Marvin Eugene Morse on December 8, 1956 at Mt Morris Methodist Church. After many wonderful years together, He preceded her in death. She worked for the Mt. Morris School District for 16 years, Kirtland College for 16 years, and Calvary Baptist Church for 12 years. Dorothy was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch where she also served as secretary and was always a part of church activities. She loved her church, pastor Tom Teal, and church family with all her heart. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and bowled on three leagues for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and was up for an adventure anytime. Dorothy kept a nice loving home where everyone wanted to hangout, friends were always welcome, and became family. She was a fashionable lady who always put herself together, matched from head to toe, and made sure she had on her angel pins. Above all, she loved her family and being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dorothy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Children: Terri Latimer, Marvin Morse II, Robin (Milton) Lotridge, and Michael (Christine) Morse; Grandchildren: Marvin III, Nicholas (Heather), Matthew (Shelby), Angela, Krystal (Jason), TJ (Kelly), Rozlyn, and Ed; Great grandchildren: Ethan, Sydney, Aubrey, Aaliyah, Harper, Carter, soon to be baby Cooper, Dallas, Zander, Rosemary, Max, and Jaxson; Brother, Dave (Frances) Thompson; Sister, Janice Miller; Brother in law, Laverne (Janet) Morse; Dear friends: The Sanders family: Luella, Eddie, Jimmy, Joanne, Sharon, and Karen, Jim Kalat, Wendi and Glen, Sharon and Art, and Don Leet; Many other loving family members and dear friends.
