BERNS, Carol – of Burton, age 97, passed away April 8, 2018 at Regency of Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Sue Lidums officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday and 10 AM until time of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church.
Carol was born in Bay City, MI on August 21, 1920, daughter of the late Axel and Agnes (Peterson) Nord. She married Lucky Berns on November 21, 1942 who preceded her in death on September 18, 1971. Carol was an election worker until age 92.
Carol is survived by her children, Carol Lee Dymowski (Ed), David (Colleen) Berns, Nancy (Richard) McDaniel and Tracy (Tod) Rushton; grandchildren, Sheri (Jim) Talbert, Lora (Grant) Murray, Christine (Mike) Garrett, Matthew (Rhonda) Berns, Adam (Kimberly) McDaniel, Ryan (Heather) McDaniel, Rick (Nichole) McDaniel, Brandi (Bryan) Baker, Emily Rushton and Alex (Lauren) Rushton; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Taylor, Caitlin, Grant, Garrett, Logan, Lainey, Skylar, Zachary, Noah, Eli, Zoe, Addison, McKenzie, Carson, Morgan, Ethan, Emilee, Alivia, Jackson and Claire; special friend, Brian (Laura) Lane. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
