THOMPSON, Sharon Jean - Age 82, of Irons, MI formerly of Rankin, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Sharon's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM and Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association.
Sharon was born June 6, 1940 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, the daughter of Bernard A. and Treva E. (McGahey) Dallaire. She attended Flint Central High School. She married Edward O. Thompson July 27, 1957 in Flint and he preceded her in death December 6, 2021. She was a member of Irons Union Church in Irons, MI and was a former member of Mundy Presbyterian Church in Rankin. Sharon enjoyed crafting, gardening, and bird watching.
Surviving are: her children, Laurie (Robert) Wallace of Flint Township, Kimberly (Frank) Thompson-Millay of Swartz Creek, Michael Thompson of Flint Township and Brian Thompson of Flint Township; grandchildren, Ian (Amber), Jameson (Sarah), Jacob (Lindsay), Seth, Justin, Cassidy, Devin (Kylie), Jarrett and Lynnsey; great grandchildren, Ethan, Delila, Benjamin, Karmen, Winter and Lucas; sisters, Donna Dallaire of Chelsea and Dolores (David) Frierson of Gaines; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Justin Thompson; and brothers, Fred and Morris Dallaire. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
