Mrs. Monica Ann Waters-Parrish was born on June 1,1956 in McCarley, Mississippi, the daughter of Leon and Hattie Sanders.
Monica moved back to Flint, Michigan after the sudden loss of her father, Lendale Waters, and sister, LeKesha Jones. She met and married the love of her life Kevin Parrish. Monica was a loving mother and grandmother and seeing her grandkids always put a smile on her face. She loved to cook but, she loved Kevin’s cooking more! Her mother passed away sadly in 2020 but, she stayed close to her remaining siblings. Monica enjoyed the simple things in life, music on Sunday, Kevin’s good barbeque, and being with the people she loved most her family. Monica was an amazing person and mother.
Mrs. Monica Ann Waters-Parrish leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Kevin Parrish, 2 daughters, LeKesha Jones, and Angelic Waters both of Flint, MI 1 son, Antonio Jones of Atlanta GA, 3 stepchildren, Kevin Parrish, Queenie Parrish, Latoya Williams all of Flint, MI, 8 grandchildren, Kiarria Waters, Jamia Smith, Antaje Johnson, Harmony Johnson, Da’niyo Banks, Tiandra Waters, Japri Williams, Olivia Jones and Brooklyn all of Flint, MI, and 11 great-grandchildren. A host of great-grandchildren which reside in Atlanta, GA and some in Flint, MI, 2 sisters, Marie Upshaw of Memphis, TN, Kathy (Jessie) Blair of Flushing, MI, 3 brothers, Donnie L. Jones of Las Angeles, CA, Leon Sanders of Flint, MI, and Larry Sanders, 4 nieces, Angel Parker, Brittany Traeye, Zarria Sanders, and Chantel Sanders, 4 nephews, Terrail (Nataya) Jones, Sherrod Sanders, Leondre Snders, and Lantae Sanders. A host of aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and cousins other relatives and friends, including special friends and best friend Pearl Kincaiv.
Mrs. Monica Ann Waters-Parrish was preceded in death by 2 daughters, LeKesha Jones and Carisa Waters, mother, Hattie Sanders, father, Leon Sanders, sister, Faye A. Sanders, brother, Ray C. Sanders, and niece, Ashley Williams.
