Kamin, Robert Glenn - Age 91, of Grand Blanc, passed away September 12, 2026.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2-6 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. A Committal service for Robert and his wife Patricia will be held 2 PM Wednesday September 30 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Those desiring may make contributions to the Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint.
Robert was born August 5, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Rudolph Kamin and Adeline (Schipanski) Kamin. Robert served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology. He married Patricia Irish on May 14, 1969; she preceded him in death July 6, 2026. He retired from Wausau Insurance Company as a safety consultant after many years of service. He was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his Dad and later with his grandkids. He loved playing card games and family gatherings. Surviving are: three children, Susan (Terry) Cook, Stephen (Diane Gutekunst) Kamin, Patricia (Greg) Henderson; multiple grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sister, Barbara Nielsen; aunt, Charlene Gierens; and son William.
