White, Marilyn – of Clio, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023, at her residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow to Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 3PM until 7PM and on Monday from 9AM until the time of service.
Marilyn was born on May 17, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Keith and Virginia (Jupe) Lyon. She attended Clio High School. Marilyn married the love of her life James White on May 28, 1955. She attended the Light House Baptist Church up until the doors were closed. Marylin was a beautiful soul with a great sense of humor. She was a woman of many talents. She would crochet, sew, paint, garden and play the piano. Some of her most cherished past times were singing and playing her favorite hymns on the piano with her late husband. Marilyn was a woman of unwavering faith and cherished her relationship with the Lord. She was so proud of her large, loving family. Marilyn was an absolute blessing to all who knew her. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Children: Dr. James (LeeAnn) White, Virginia (Keith) Vansickle, Jacquelyn DuBois, Deanna (Matt) Richards-Clark; Daughter-in-law, Debra White; Son-in-Law, Lloyd Stevens; Grandchildren: Jonathan White, Jessica (Mark) Akins, Jason White, Megan (Matt) Duby, Lindsay (Sean) Hutchinson, Calvin White, Michelle Brown, Justin (Nina) Studer, Joshua (Chelsea) Studer, Jayna (Dusty) Miller, Joseph (Dayna) Dubois Jr, Ja’nae (Justin) Woodword, Janel Caughlin, Terran Dubois,Todd Richards Jr, and Ethan Richards; Marilyn was blessed with 24 great grandchildren; Sisters: Carol (Richard) Taylor, Jeannie (Norman) Nelson; Several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful close friends. She is preceded in death by husband, James White Sr, Son, John White, Daughter, Ann Stevens, grandson, Michael Brown, brothers: Keith and Kenneth Lyon.
