Jan Thomas Smith (Smitty) age 72 passed away December 27, 2024, at his residence. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home, Monday, January 6, from 2-6 PM and on Tuesday, January 7, from 12 Noon until the service starts. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Cremation to follow.
Tom or Smitty, as some called him, loved to golf and watch sports. He especially loved watching his Spartans! Tom was employed at the Flint Assembly Plant, retiring after 44 years. Tom worked at the Buick Open for several years. He is survived by his sons Tony (Lyn) Smith, Erik (Sherry) Smith, Tim (Lori) Crabb, grandchildren Katelyn, Geoffery, Brooklynn, Jaiylynn, Jocelynn, brother Eric (Bonnie) Smith, one niece and other family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis White Smith, parents Derward and Caroline Smith, sisters Marie Eilene Suagee, Carole Gilbert and one nephew. |
