CARPENTER, Judith Ann (Clark) – of Davison, MI, formerly of Capac, MI and Newberry, MI, age 81, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Inurnment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Judy’s memory.
Judy was born in Yale, MI on February 16, 1943, daughter of the late James and Phyllis (Schwartz) Clark. She married James Leroy Carpenter on April 6, 1974 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2021. Judy retired from teaching at Brown City Schools after years of dedicated service. Every November, she enjoyed teaching her students about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Judy enjoyed using her artistic creativity by giving handmade items and gifts to friends and family which are cherished. She adored her family and her children will hold dear the memories of seeing her smiles and giggles with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by 4 children, Jeff (Paula) Leonard of Cement City, MI, Tami (Gregg) Tawney of Belmont, MI, Jodi (Mark) Carroll of Grand Blanc, MI and Jennifer (Bryan) LePla of Sandwich, NH; 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Emily) Leonard, Aaron (Jordyn Hermani) Leonard, Brandon (Amanda) LePla, Liz (Oliver) Carpenter, Zach (Emma) Carroll, Allison (James) DeCosemo, Jacob Carroll and Mordekai Tawney; 3 great-grandchildren, Anne Lorraine Leonard, Katherine Jane Leonard and Oliver James DeCosemo; 2 sisters, Janet Clark and Dorothy Clark; countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including their Carla Blvd. social group. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Phyllis Clark and her husband, James Leroy Carpenter.
