ALARIE, LOUIS J. - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Thursday, March 30, 2023 at home.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 9020 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc. Rev. Jerry D. Lasley officiating.

A private inurnment to follow.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. that day at the church until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Christopher's Church Reserve Fund.

Louis was born in Flint, Michigan on June 6, 1935, the son of the late Albert and Ethel (Blackford) Alarie. On August 24, 1957 he
married Marilyn Benson at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Flint. Louis graduated from the Flint Central High School in 1953. He graduated from Eastern Michigan College in 1957. In addition to a full
career with General Motors, Lou was an active high school football and basketball referee and baseball and softball umpire.

Surviving are children; Rev. Sue Pethoud (Rick), Steven Alarie (Lina) and Dr. Stacey Alarie Tyckoski (William);

grandchildren, Jeffrey Pethoud, Brooke Alarie, Andrew Tyckoski, Chelsea Alarie, Kristen Alarie and Jackson Alarie and great
grandson Liam Pethoud.

He was preceded in death by, his wife Marilyn (Benson), his parents, Albert and Ethel Alarie and in-laws Herbert and Francis Benson.
