Lois Dianne Weaver, affectionately known as Dianne to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the age of 82. A memorial service celebrating Dianne’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on October 3, 2026, at Halsey Methodist Church, located at 10006 Halsey Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan, 48439. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
Dianne was born on August 6, 1944, in Rochester, New York, to Ward Allen Britton Sr. and Lois Isabelle (Davis) Britton. She earned her associate’s degree and eventually made her home in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where she became a beloved member of the community. Dianne dedicated much of her working life to caring for and helping children. She began her career as a preschool teacher before becoming a special education paraprofessional with Grand Blanc Community Schools, where she devoted 27 years to supporting students and their families. Her kindness and patience helped thousands of students develop the reading skills needed for successful lives.
In 1976, Dianne married the love of her life, Everett Weaver, at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc. Together, they built a large, beautiful blended family and shared 48 wonderful years of marriage until Everett’s passing in February 2025. Dianne and Everett were also longtime members of Halsey United Methodist Church in Grand Blanc, where they actively participated and built lasting friendships. Dianne was a true people person. She had a unique ability to connect with others, and it seemed that wherever she went, she always knew someone.
Family was always particularly important to Dianne. She was a wonderful mother and stepmother who took great pride in her children and grandchildren, always doing her best to keep everyone connected. She also had a lifelong love of dogs, especially basset hounds, and over the years, she cared for nine of them. As an avid sports fan, she cheered on the University of Michigan Teams and her favorite Detroit Teams: the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, and Pistons. Dianne enjoyed cooking and baking and loved sharing her creations with those around her.
Dianne is survived by her sons, Dave (Rebecca Stowe) Miner and Doug (Tricia) Miner; her stepchildren, Leeanne (Fred) Bradley, Celeste (Mark) Deeny, and John Weaver; Son-In-Law Mike Morgan; Grandchildren, James Morgan, Logan Weaver, Derek Miner, Atticus Deeny, and Beck Deeny; and 3 Great Grandchildren Addison, Savannah and Sterling; siblings, Gail Hoffman and Mary Reazor; and many nieces, nephews, grand dogs, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everett Weaver; her stepdaughter, Teresalynn Morgan; her parents, Ward Allen Britton Sr. and Lois Isabelle (Davis) Britton; and her brother, Ward Allen Britton Jr.
Those who knew Dianne will always remember her for the kind of person she was; positive, loving, devoted, generous, and genuine. She leaves behind a family and community enriched by knowing her, and they will miss her dearly.
