WARDIE, Marion Mae - Age 96, of Linden, passed away November 13, 2023. Private services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make a contribution in her memory to the Linden Historical Society, Linden Kiwanis or Lobdell Lake Association. Marion was born May 27, 1927 in Lapeer, the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Rubbert) Marble. She married Calvin "Bud" Wardie on June 19, 1948. Marion worked for Dr. Stephen Miller in Linden for many years. She enjoyed traveling, taking trips to the casino and entertaining at her home on Lobdell Lake. She is survived by her children, Marion Lynn Taylor (Dale Pearsall), Gayle Wardie and Matthew Wardie; grandchildren, Kelly (Scott) Dues and Wendy (Craig) Washburn; great-grandchildren, Allison McBride, Jake Harris and Lexi Mae Washburn; great-great grandchildren, Cameron and Tyler; sister, Dolly Young; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin "Bud" Wardie; daughter, Caleen Kristy Wardie; son, Craig Michael Wardie; grandson, Jeff McBride and five siblings.
