BEHRENS, Doris T., - Age 94 of Flint, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021. In accordance with Doris' wishes she was donated to the University of Michigan Anatomical Donation Program. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Doris was born May 8, 1926 in West New York, New Jersey the daughter of George and Wilma (Fair) Taubert. She graduated from Michigan State University. Doris and John Behrens were united in marriage on July 28, 1951 in Fenton. She was a teacher for 26 years, retiring from Kearsley Schools. Doris was a member of the Eastside and Davison Senior Center. She enjoyed bowling and traveling. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn (George) Knasel and Marcia Compton; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter on the way. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, John Behrens; daughter, Sandra (Joseph) Hinds; and parents, George and Wilma Taubert. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
