Gutchak, Barbara “Barb” – of Clio, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Maple Wood Manor with family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Father Roy Horning to officiate. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 5th from 12PM until 3PM and from 4PM until 8PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris.
Barb was born September 4, 1932, in Linwood, Michigan, to the late Raymond and Veronica (Jajo) Dubay. She married the love of her life Henry Gutchak on April 23, 1949, they shared 71 wonderful years together. Barb was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an avid woman of faith and loved her Lord. Barb enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, and working on floral arrangements. You could find her out gardening, playing in the dirt. She made beautiful quilts and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Barb was known for making the best chicken and dumplings in Michigan. More than anything she loved her family. She was an amazing wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by many.
Left to Cherish in her memory: Children: Chris (Tim) Kennedy, Ron (Debi) Gutchak, Rhonda (John) Schafsnitz, Kevin (Lisa) Gutchak, and Kellie Bigelow; She was blessed with several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and some great great grandchildren; Many loving brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gutchak; Children: Cathy Nohel, David Gutchak, and Diane Fyock.
