Doering, Bonnie J. – of Clio, formerly of Flushing, age 87, died Sunday, October 24, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Don O’Guinn will officiate. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Bonnie was born September 18, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Julius and Nellie (Sitz) Jackson. She graduated from Flint Central High School. Bonnie married Jack Doering on November 27, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2012. She and her husband, Jack, owned and operated Auto City Speedway in Clio for 42 years. Bonnie was also a former hairdresser and owned the John J Hair Salon in Flushing. She attended the West Flint Church of the Nazarene. Bonnie was a longtime member of the American Business Women’s Association and was also active with the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed the arts, painting, reading, clothing, and church.
Surviving are: 2 sons: John (Karrie) Doering and Jason (Starr) Doering; Grandchildren: Kaylea (Nick) Johnston, Meagan Doering, DeKodda Stamm, Jason Doering, Jr., Rebecca Doering; Sister: Frances Mollet; Special lifelong friend, Doris “Andy” (Bill) Sturgeon.
