Cecil Arthur Becker, age 90, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Tuesday,
August 9, 2022, at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Edgewood Church of God, Ithaca,
Michigan, on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Dave
Perry officiating. Burial will take place at Lafayette Township Cemetery,
Lafayette Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12,
2022, from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, Michigan.
Cecil was born in Wheeler, Michigan on May 13, 1932, the son of
Edward Bulletin and Lottie Marie (Lamrouex) Becker. On January 11,
1950, he married Dorothy Ann Moulton in Ithaca, Michigan. They have
shared 72 years of marriage.
Cecil farmed all of his life and he loved his land. He loved dancing
with his wife especially to the polkas, roller skating, fishing at Drummond
Island, evening crop tours with his wife, and walking his fields. Sunday
dinners with his family were a tradition throughout his life. He enjoyed
visiting with his neighbors and friends. Baxter and his cats were his great
companions. He attended the Edgewood Church of God and enjoyed his
church family.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Becker; two daughters: Kathy
Chaffin and Vicky and Rick Draper; three sons: Ken and Carolyn Becker,
Rick and Debbie Becker, and David Becker. He is also survived by
seventeen grandchildren: Chad, Jeremy, Sherry, Shelly, Steven, Nick,
Zach, Heather, Rachel, Brianne, Alisha, Aaron, Kaylee, Travis, Brooke,
Faithe, and Anealya, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Darryl, son-in-
law Charlie Chaffin, one sister Twila Dickinson, and one brother Louis
Becker.
