CHICK-MOREA, Vonda L. - Of Flint, age 82, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Andrew Brashaw and Reverend Russ Sommer co-officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the West Flint Nazarene Church or Central Church of the Nazarene or the Eastside Mission.
Visitation 1-6pm Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the funeral home.
Vonda was born in Ionia, Michigan on June 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Adam and Dora Bailey. On May 17, 1996, she married Ronald Morea. She retired from Meijer’s in 2001 after 29 years of service. She enjoyed gong to garage sales and was a member of West Flint Nazarene Church.
Surviving are husband, Ron;
8 children, Debra and husband Greg Parsons, Kevin and wife Darlene Chick, Brenda Vickerman, Shelly and husband Richard Scordo, Anthony and wife Karen Morea, Dawn and husband Craig Simon, Christopher Morea;
17 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Imogene (Leon) Suffin, Charlotte (Denny) Morrell, Linda Makenda and Brenda Bailey;
brother, Ray (Julie) Bailey;
Sisters-in-law, Josephine Bailey and Charlene (Jerry) Wallace;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Chick, son, Darrell Chick Jr. and brothers, Gene Bailey, Joe Bailey.
