SOLAK, Jerry Alan – of Birch Run, age 75, quietly departed this life Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Michigan. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Memorial contributions can be made to the Birch Run Athletics Association.
Jerry was born October 15, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Stanley and Helen (Sinkevich) Solak. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1963. Jerry was united in marriage to Helen Rose Mayberry on April 24, 1965 and she survives him. Their union was blessed with four children. Jerry was employed at Grey Iron and Wright K Technology where he retired from. He also worked at Bronner’s for 5 years as a seasonal employee, he really enjoyed his time there with everyone. Jerry enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events, going to the casino, gardening, woodworking, and having a good time wherever he was.
He leaves to cherish his memory his Children, David (Elisa) Solak, Brian (Danielle) Solak, Ken (Kathy) Solak, Brenda Solak; Grandchildren, Kaylea (Danny Collins) Simmons, Lance Corporal Tyler Solak, Zachary (Nicole) Solak, Jeremy Solak, Jaxen Solak, Issac Solak, Addison Solak, Jayson Solak, Chloe Quinnan, Owen Quinnan; Great Granddaughter, Octavia Collins and a Great Grandson due in August; Brother, Jack (Carole) Solak; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
