HOLLISTER, Booth Benjamin – of Genesee, MI, age 91, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Booth’s life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “22 2 None” (www.222none.org), a veteran’s organization to assist with suicide prevention in Booth’s memory.
Booth was born in Caro, MI on November 20, 1929, son of the late George and Jeanette (Orr) Hollister. He married Marilyn Fader on July 26, 1948 in Caro, MI. From 1968-1991, Booth was the owner of Mr. Booths Shoes in Grand Blanc, MI. He loved serving his customers for over 24 years. Booth enjoyed woodworking, travel, and family.
Booth is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hollister; two children, Roxy (Ron) Hawks, Scott Hollister; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanette Hollister; siblings, Lee Hollister, Keith Hollister, Erma Jean; nephews, Mike Hollister and Tom Hollister; brother-in-law, Duane Eisinger.
