Eversgerd, Mary Ellen (Wickham) - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, passed away November 4, 2022. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2022 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4813 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, November 6 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10:00 AM until the service time Monday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Mary Queen of Angels Church, Swartz Creek.
Mary was born May 27, 1936 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Lorenzo and Delia (Helen) (Sauer) Wickham. She graduated in 1954 from Sacred Heart High School in Flint. Mary married Paul B. Eversgerd on November 6, 1965 in Flint and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2018. She retired from AC Spark Plug after 30 years of service.Mary was a long time member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Church. She enjoyed walking, camping, gardening, baking and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Black of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Tyler (Mikayla) Black of Washington Twp and Lauren Black of Charlotte, NC; son-in-law, William L. Black of Swartz Creek; brother, Joseph W. Wickham of Flint; sister-in-law, Florence Kane of Marissa, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
