Linda Kay Weatherwax of Columbiaville was a woman who could make anyone smile, and whose laugh was contagious, passed away at the age of 82 on May 5, 2023, in Flint, Michigan. Born on October 27, 1940, in Lapeer, Michigan, she spent her life spreading joy to everyone around her. Linda was a loving, thoughtful, and selfless person, who was always ready with a witty remark and a warm hug.
Linda is survived by her children, Mark (Brenda) Weatherwax, Melissa (Mike) Colosky, and Michelle (Mick) Weatherwax, as well as her brother Randy Vincent. She was also the proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and the great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren, who were fortunate enough to inherit her infectious sense of humor. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Clayton & Lucille, husband Lloyd, brother Daryl, and grandson Tyler. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda worked at the Friend of the Court for 24 years before her retirement. Her coworkers knew her as the one who could always find a silver lining and make the best of any situation. Linda's office was often filled with laughter, as she was known to lighten the mood with her humorous take on life.
Outside of work, Linda was involved in various associations and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Linda was well known for her selfless acts of kindness and her ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations.
Family was the center of Linda's world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Holidays and family gatherings were always filled with laughter, as Linda was the master of ceremonies, cracking jokes and regaling everyone with stories. Her family will fondly remember how she could turn the most mundane task into an adventure, making even a trip to the grocery store a memorable experience.
Linda Kay Weatherwax was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Her laughter, love, and selflessness will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to bring joy to those who remember her.
Funeral service 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville, where family & friends may visit 11:00 AM till time of service. Mr. John Anderson officiating.
