CONNER, Glenn Dale – Of Grand Blanc, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021 at McLaren Hospital in Flint.
A graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
Glenn was born on November 26, 1937. He was a graduate of Birch Run High School.
Glenn proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Glenn retired from General Motors after 25+ years of service.
Glenn was a faithful Christian, he loved Jesus Christ and humbly served as an usher and greeter at Victory Worship Center in Flint for many years under the leadership of Pastor Keith Bolinger. He regularly attended evening church services at Flint Heights Terrace, being blessed by Pastor Viki’s Word from God, where he also learned and played the auto harp.
Glenn had a tender heart and supported many charitable organizations.
Glenn loved his sports, he spent most of his time watching Christian programming, baseball, basketball and football when he wasn’t talking on the phone or spending time with friends.
Glenn was a Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan, no matter whether they won or lost.
Glenn also enjoyed playing cards with friends. He spent many hours enjoying cards with his late friend Don and long conversations with friends. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated a sports memorabilia business in Frankenmuth for many years. Glenn always kept his eye open for a great business venture.
Glenn was preceded in death by his good friend, Don Vernier; three sisters, Patsy Barber, Shirley Spears and Pearl Papendick; two brothers, John Conner and Ralph Conner; his parents, Lewis and Sophia Conner.
