TOLBERT, Shirley Ann (Hyde) - Of Burton, age 89, died Friday, August 18, 2023 at McLaren-Flint.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
Shirley was born in Flint, Michigan on January 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Jerry and Elizabeth (Burkhardt) Hyde. In 1962, Shirley married Roy Tolbert and he preceded her in death in 1966. Shirley was employed with General Motors for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She also worked at The Fair Store. Shirley belonged to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for many years and also to the Eagles Club-Burton. Shirley had a love for sewing and enjoyed sewing items for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and camping. Above all else, Shirley enjoyed being with her family.
Surviving are daughter, Betty Graverson (Estep);
grandchildren, Megan, Mary and great-grandchild, Jack;
and sister-in-law, Mary Hyde.
She was also preceded in death by her significant other, Bernie Walker and brother Thomas Hyde.
