LANGFORD, Pamela Ann (Sawicki) – beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She peacefully passed away at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI surrounded by her loved ones.
Pamela was born on March 20, 1957, to her loving parents in Flint, MI. She grew up in the city and attended local schools, graduating from Flint Powers High School in 1976. After graduation, Pamela worked as a cashier, a job she loved and excelled at. She was known for her love for her children and her grandchildren especially her great granddaughter Scarlet Rose. Pamela was always making sure to brighten the day of every customer she served.
In her free time, Pamela enjoyed playing the lottery, scratching her lottery tickets. Her favorite ones were Cashwords and Bingos. She also cherished spending time with her great-granddaughter, Scarlet Rose, who brought so much joy and love into her life. Pamela's beloved cat, Barney, was also a constant companion and source of comfort to her.
Pamela is survived by her children, Tanya Laird and Jonathan Langford; her sister, Melody Sawicki; her brother, Mark Sawicki; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Kayleigh, and Kyle Laird; great granddaughter, Scarlet Rose. She was preceded in death by her parent's, Michael and Gloria Sawicki; her husband, James Langford; her sister, Michaelle Gordon; her long-time pet, Rosie.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be 10 AM Thursday, December 14th, 2023, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 2500 N. Franklin Avenue, Flint, MI 48506. The family will receive visitors the hour prior to the Mass. The family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association in her memory. Pamela will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
