Morrish, Dorothy A., age 95, died Sunday, January 22, at Gross Assisted Living, Clio. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born March 27, 1927 in Pittsburgh PA, the third of 10 children of John and Mary (Gracan)
Maletic. The family shortly moved to Michigan. She attended Flint schools graduating from Flint Central High in 1944. Over the years she was employed at Hurley and McLaren Hospitals, and GM. Upon her marriage to William Morrish, she took up her residency in Clio where she lived over 50 years.
Dorothy was a talented artist drawing and painting. She enjoyed working in her yard, feeding the birds, and every stray cat that visited. She and Bill were able to travel a great deal when he was with Quality Pool and Supply, and during his term as Mayor of the city of Clio. Many happy days were spent at the cottage they built at Sugar Springs, Gladwin.
Surviving are sisters Mildred Hampson, Petoskey; Elizabeth (William) Roberts, Swartz Creek; brother
Robert (Marla) Maletic, Irvine, TX; and 21 nieces and nephews. Sincere thank you to all Gross Asst. Living healthcare workers and Absolute Hospice for their loving care; and Bonnie Arandt for her friendship over the years. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
