Thomas James Peel of Davison Township passed away on December 24th, 2020. Tom was born on October 22nd, 1949 in Flint, Michigan to Cornelius Joseph Peel and Helen Agnes (Carol) Peel. Tom was an independent truck driver for many years. He moved to Texas in the early 80’s and met the love of his life, Donna. They were married July 4th, 1986. They moved back to Flint, Michigan in 1990 where Tom worked as a truck driver for Martin Leasing until his retirement. Tom had a love for guns and playing cards including hearts, spades, cribbage and especially Texas Hold’em. But his deepest love was for his family.
Tom is survived by his sisters Chris (Peel) McDonald of Davison, Marilyn (Peel) and Mark Sutton of Flint, his stepsons and their wives Stephen Turk and Corinne (Schmidt) Turk of Lapeer and Brian and Laura (Moss) Turk of New Boston and grandchildren Morgan, Mason, Colton, Garrett, Avery and Aubrey Turk and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Donna, mother and father Neil and Helen, brother Jerry, sister Pat (Peel) Cashin and brother-in-law John Cashin.
Funeral services for Tom will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Davison on Wednesday, January 20th at 12:00 PM with limited capacity at 25%.
