Roth, Lawrence “Larry” – of Mt. Morris, age 78, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 2PM until 8PM and on Saturday from noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designations.
Larry was born September 29, 1945, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Leslie and Marie (Burnham) Roth. He attended and graduated from Mount Morris High School with the class of 1963. Larry married Sharon Rose on April 17, 1971; they shared 52 years together. He was an avid member of the Auto City Eagles #3485. Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as bowling, casting his fishing line into serene lakes, and challenging himself in the thrill of hunting. His love for golf, shared with his dear friends, brought him both relaxation and a sense of friendly competition. As a dedicated family man, Larry derived immense happiness from cheering on his grandchildren in their various endeavors. He found great satisfaction in being present for their milestones, always sharing words of encouragement and celebrating their achievements wholeheartedly.
Larry dedicated 37 years of his life to the United States Postal Service, serving his community. In 2000, he retired. One of Larry's proudest achievements was founding the Mt. Morris Little League in 1983. His passion for sports and his desire to provide local children with a platform for growth and camaraderie drove him to establish this beloved institution. More than anything he was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Wife of 52 years, Sharon Roth; Children: Tina (Kevin) Stevenson, and Matthew (Becky) Roth; Grandchildren: Makenna Stevenson, Jayden Roth, Jacob Roth; Brothers: Fred (Shirley) Roth, Chris Roth; Brother-In-Law, Larry Cross; he was blessed with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Marie Roth; Siblings: Leroy Roth, Donna Fias, Elizabeth Naler, Glenn Roth, Butch Roth, Mary Cross, Carolyn Watkins, and Leslie Roth.
