LEACH, Rowana “Ronnie” M. (Sova) - of Davison, age 72, passed away January 16, 2014 at McLaren – Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Rev. Peter Murdock officiating. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery; Wolverine, MI in the Spring. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronnie’s family in care of Kevin Lapeer.
Ronnie was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on February 17, 1941, daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Clarabell Sova. She was a member of the Eagles in Hale. Ronnie loved to golf at Wicker Hills in Hale, she also loved to travel to Florida for the winter and spend summers in Hale. Ronnie enjoyed crafts and had a great sense of humor.
Ronnie is survived by her children, Burton (Sonja) Putman, Angela (Francis) Edwards, Michael (Deana) Buckley, Robert (Buffy) Lapeer and Kevin (Catrina) Lapeer; lifelong friend, Kenneth Lapeer; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Ikue) Sova, Rodney (Debbie) Sova, Rita (Rusty) Gould and Rick Sova; sister-in-law, Esther Sova and her son Dickie; many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by brothers, Ronald, Ralph and Richard Sova.
