HUDSON, Jean A. (Younce) – of Linden, formerly of Davison, age 84, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 4, 2017 at Swank Assisted Living. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Mr. James Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-8 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Jean was born in Petoskey, MI on January 8, 1932, daughter of the late Lucius and Lila (Coblentz) Younce. Her most treasured memories were ones spent with her children, grandchildren and extended family.
Jean is survived by her children, David (Susan) of Flint, Donald (Kimberly) of Davison, Daniel (Paula) of Burton and Ann (Mike) Lengyel of Linden; 15 grandchildren, Heather Schalge, Brian Hudson, Don Hudson III, Kari (Llewis) Witt, Liz (Bill) Cook, Lori (Ryan) Marshall, Tresa (Jeremy) Bodis, Kristi (David) White, Tim (Jackie) Hudson, Melissa (Tony) Rivera, Nathan (Brittany) Hudson, Danielle Dziamski, Michael (Patricia) Lengyel, Alyshia (Devan) Hadaway and Mariah Lengyel; 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Samuel (Dorothy) Younce of Davison; sister-in-law, Linda Younce of Linwood. Jean was reunited with her husband, Donald, who passed away in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and David. The family of Mrs. Hudson would like to thank the staff of Swank Assisted Living (Swartz Creek) for the loving home environment they created for Jean and her family.
