James Popoff (Popov, Dimitri) - of Grand Blanc Michigan age 86, passed away Sunday February 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 6, 2021 1:00pm with two hours of visitation prior to service at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc Michigan. Interment with military honors following at the Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
James was Veteran of the United States Army.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on December 16, 1935 the first born to Vladimir and Anna Popoff. James leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty years, Doris (Oakley) Popoff; daughters, Stephanie and Denise both of Grand Blanc, Michigan and son, Daniel Sr. of Canton Michigan.; grandchildren, Daniel ll (Sabrina) of Seattle WA., and Heather Popoff of Canton MI.; great-grandson, Elliott Daniel, of Seattle WA, sister, Vivian (Bill) Korth of Grand Blanc, Michigan,; many nieces and nephews; special friends: Phil Brown, Ken Thomas, Jerry Suddleth and Steve Sutto; and Gracie and Buddy the family dogs. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cynthia Brooke. In compliance with state and local mandates please practice social distancing, wear a facial covering, and follow gathering limitations while visiting. |
