Norman Fredrick Angst
Age 78 of Chesaning passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. The family will receive friends at the church that morning from 9:30am until the service. Arrangements were entrusted to McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel.
Norm was born on June 11, 1944 to Joseph and Hedwig (Henige) Angst in Owosso. He graduated from St. Michael Catholic High School in 1963. Norm married his high school sweetheart, Angeline Vrable, on May 13, 1967. They celebrated 55 years of marriage this year.
Norm retired from General Motors after 43 years, was a member of St. Michael's Parish, coached Little League baseball, and served with the Army National Guard. Norm was a man of God who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and coworkers. He loved spending time with family, helping others - especially his kids and grandkids, and attending high school sporting events. He was known for his quick wit and uncanny sense of humor.
Norm is survived by his wife, Ange Angst; his children, Troy (Carolyn) Angst, Corey (Wendy) Angst, Melissa (Thomas) Princinsky, Lindsay (Kyle) Dinsmore, and Mary Angst; his grandchildren, Hanna, Julia, Natalie, and Madelyn Angst, Hunter Kalka, Lily, Caden, and Gianna Angst, Blake and Marlee Princinsky, and Kase Dinsmore; his siblings, Dallas (Janice) Angst, Janet Vondrasek, and Tom (Charlene) Angst; sisters-in-law, Nelda Angst and Evelyn Angst; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Rodney Angst; father, Joseph Angst; mother, Hedwig Angst; father-in-law, Andrew Vrable; mother-in-law, Christine Vrable; brothers, Cletus and Clarence Angst; brothers-in-law, Carl Vrable and Don Vondrasek; and nephews, Albert Angst, Richard Angst, and Scott Amman.
