Died: 5/24/2025
Age: 73
Community: Holland, formerly of Flushing, MI

Bonardelli, MaryAnna of Holland, Michigan, formerly of Flushing, Michigan, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 73, from cancer.

MaryAnna was born on March 13, 1952, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. MaryAnna was a deeply religious woman whose life was a testament to her Catholic faith. She believed in the power of kindness and spent her life thinking of others, often expressing her love through thoughtful gestures like sending cards and gifts tailored to those she cherished.

In 1976, MaryAnna married the love of her life, Johnny Bonardelli, and together they built a life rich in love and community. Their partnership extended beyond their home to their business, the Speak Easy restaurant in Flushing, Michigan, which they owned and operated for 27 years. The restaurant was more than just a business; it was a gathering place for friends and family, a testament to MaryAnna’s love for bringing people together.

MaryAnna was a mentor to many, offering guidance and support with a warm heart and open arms. Her wisdom and generosity left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her. In her leisure time, MaryAnna enjoyed traveling in their motor home, exploring the beauty of Florida and northern Michigan, and embracing the freedom and adventure of the open road.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Johnny Bonardelli, who shared in her life’s journey for nearly five decades. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Michelle and husband John Roe; as well as her brother, Michael and wife Stacey Gasparovic. MaryAnna’s loving spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of MaryAnna’s life is being planned for later this summer, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support during this difficult time, with a special thank you to our family members for their extraordinary help and guidance.

As we remember MaryAnna, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, faith, and generosity. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
