Ms. Wendie Revere – of Birch Run, age 55, died peacefully at home on Friday, May 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 4PM until 8PM, and on Saturday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Ms. Wendie was born on February 6, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, to Vernon Revere and Marilyn Kibby. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading a good book, relaxing moments playing games on her tablet, and the peaceful satisfaction of caring for her houseplants and flower beds. Ms. Wendie loved flowers of all kinds and took great pride in decorating her yard with cheerful ornaments that brought charm to the outdoors. Her bond with her sister was truly something special—more than sisters, they were best friends and constant companions. Some of her happiest hours were spent riding around in the car with her sister, just the two of them, chatting about everything and nothing, enjoying fountain drinks, scratching lottery tickets, and filling the car with laughter and shared memories. Wendie was known for being quite the pistol—feisty, quick-witted and full of a spark that made her truly one of a kind. Being a mother and grandmother was the role she cherished most. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and time spent with them filled her heart in a way nothing else could. She found her greatest happiness in the company of those she loved, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
Ms. Wendie leaves to cherish her memory 3 Daughters: Alecia Patton (Fiancé Delonie), Brianne Patton (Fiancé Derek), and Mercedes (Joshua) Royster; 6 Grandchildren: Destiny Brown, Christopher “Billy” Brown, Aaliyiah, Kadence, Jeremiah, and Joshua; Mother, Marilyn Kibby; Special sister, Marilyn “Thumper” (Steven) Leinberger; Brothers: Donnie LePard (Fiancée Mary), John (Michelle) LePard, and James Mills; Special nephew and nieces: Nathan, Chelsea (Marquvais “Quay”), Moquesha, and Motesha; Special great niece, Melana “Baby Cakes” & “Gertrude”; Several other loving nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends. Wendie was preceded in death by: Father, Vernon Revere; Granddaughter, Naviah Griffin; Grandmother, Myrtle Revere; Lifelong friend, Vincent Patton. |
