HENSON, Shirley Mae – Of Grand Blanc, age 80, Our beloved Queen Mother, entered her eternal reward on April 6, 2023.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at South Flint Tabernacle, G-3450 Saginaw Street, Burton, Bishop Robert E. Henson officiating.

Private burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation 1 – 8 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the church. All visitation will be held at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the South Flint Tabernacle Building Fund.

Shirley was born to Betty and George Webster on March 23, 1943, in Warsaw, Indiana. As a young girl she attended church with her family. At the age of nine she received the Holy Spirit and started her journey to Heaven.

Shirley was always involved in her local church. For the last 43 years, she has led and served in ministries at South Flint Tabernacle. She loved playing music, singing, composing newsletters, baking for bake sales and many other ministries.

Shirley was also involved in the Ladies Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International and was the Ladies President of the Michigan District for 22 years. She was a regular contributor to Reflections Magazine. Our beloved Shirley ministered around the world with her husband Bishop Robert E. Henson. Over the years, she has also ministered to thousands of people with handwritten cards and notes.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty Webster.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, Bishop Robert E. Henson, Daughters, Melissa Hudson (Rev. Jonathan), Jerusha McGhee (Rev. Jason), Siblings, George Webster, Jr. (Janice), Judy Alsman, Linda Hartzel, Brenda Hartzel, Sisters-in-law, Wanda Fielder (Rev. James) Susan Toadvine (Richard) Grandchildren, Jelissa Vega (Wyatt), Macy Klinedinst (Zachary), Jade McGhee, Madelyn Hudson, Jason (JJ) McGhee, Great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Ace and Beck, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and family members.

Shirley will be greatly missed.
