McMILLAN, Larry David - Age 77, of Fenton, died Sunday, August 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Mr. David Mellott officiating. Burial will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 3-8 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Great Lake Caring Home Health and Hospice, 3100 West Road, #100, East Lansing, MI 48823.
Larry was born January 27, 1940 in Flint, the son of Russell and Doris (McMahan) McMillan. He was a 1957 graduate of Flint Central High School and had attended Flint Junior College and Michigan State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Diana Harris October 29, 1988 in Linden. Larry retired from AC Spark Plug and EDS after 35 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Spring Meadows Country Club in Linden. He also played and coached in the Flint Junior Golf Program.
Surviving are: his wife, Diana; children, Mardi (McMillan) Rein and Monica (McMillan) Garrett, and Lawrence (Cheryl) McMillan; stepchildren, Kim (Bill) Frescura and David Sutton; grandchildren, Adam (Becky) Foley, Kasey (Meghan Aguilo) Porritt, Allysa Sutton, Amber (Dustin) Snow, David McMillan, Lucy Morales, Dominic Morales, Michael Frescura, and Anthony (Taylor) Frescura; great grandchildren, Colton and Logan Foley, Wyatt Porritt, Emerson and Sydney Snow; brother, Rich (Debby) McMillan.
