FOX, Mindy Jane (Sloat) – of Mount Morris, MI, age 51, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will receive visitors 1-3 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home.
Mindy was born in Flint, MI on March 24, 1971, daughter of Margaret (Holcomb) VanWormer and the late Lawrence Sloat. She was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1989. Mindy worked as a hairdresser at Hair Cutz in Burton, MI for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, working in her yard and spending time with her family.
Mindy is survived by 2 children, Brittney Burke and Sydni Fox; mother, Margaret (Dennis) VanWormer; 2 siblings, Lori (John) Sloat Moore and Randy (Denise) Sloat; best friend, Cheryl Cooper; many other loving family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Sloat; brother, Steve Sloat and canine companion, Weezy.
