ROKE, Louella Grace - Age 94, of Flint Township, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Curtis as a later date. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Louella was born May 16, 1927 in Munger, MI, the daughter of Elenore Jones (Schuler) and Stephen Povlak. She attended Catholic School. Louella went to work at AC Spark Plug during WWII and retired after 37 1/2 years of Service. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Burton. She loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, cooking big meals for holidays and birthdays, her grandchildren and helping others.
Surviving are: her sons, Scott and wife Lorrie Roke and Thomas and wife Shelly Roke; grandchildren, Jessica Rancourt, Cassie Miron, Kelsey Roke, Quinn Roke, Richard Matlack, Elizabeth Matlack, Amanda Edwards and Jenna Jeffries; great grandchildren, Reed and Luke Jeffries, Lohr, Vance and Eli Rancourt, with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Roke; parents, Elenore Scholtz (Schuler) and Steven Povlak; sister, Betty and husband Ed Swantek. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
